Pastor Srinivas with Orphans
I am pastor M. Srinivas (John Wesley). Doing Lord's Ministry. I am greatly privileged to share these few lines with you. It is my pleasure to get my self introduced with you. I am a born Hindu idolised and worshipped the idols. But in 1998 a Christian Brother enlighted me with the word of God Jesus Christ. I was so much strengthened and got to known who the real God is. My name was also turned into "John Wesley" after accepting. I came to know that Jesus Christ is the only God and Saviour. In the year of 2000 I registered a congregation in the title of "Mercy Rural Development Welfare Society" from that time onwards. I have been involved in the Lord's services to proclaim his fame in different ways. I was also baptized by the pastor in the year of 2000. The Lord has been leading me in a worthy way to promote his fame.
Our Needs
We are reaching out to you to enable us to:
- preach the gospel to poor and needy people
- travel to the surrounding unreached villages
- conduct gospel meetings on the public roads
- continue distributing Christian tracts and small Bibles to the poor and needy people
- plant churches
- rebuild our church buildings with concrete roofs to withstand the cyclones and monsoon rains
- supply the immediate needs of the orphans
- continue working amongst the youth and drug addicts
- glorify the name of Jesus through our ministry works
The lord will more richly bless you with every comfort to encourage us.
Gospel Outreach: We all are a team of youngsters in the Lord's work. All are energetic and enthusiastic. Our main purpose is gospel work. We reach rural, tribal, and coastal areas. In a month we visit a number of villages. We arrange street meetings, seminars and conventions.
We are visiting many gospel unreached villages, we are preaching the gospel to many poor and needy people. They don't know about Lord Jesus .When we visited them they welcomed heart fully to conduct gospel meeting on public roads. Many people attending to our gospel meetings and many people were receiving our Lord as their personal saviour. At the same time we are distributing some Christian tracts and small Bibles to the poor and needy people. So dear visitor we want to reach more villages by God's grace to visit and to preach the gospel - we are praying with tears for the travelling expenses to visit other villages also.
We request you please stretch your hand to support this ministry to reach all the unreached villages to preach the gospel to poor and needy people.
Planting Churches: Church planting is the main activity of our gospel work. We are living in a slum area which is near the Bay of Bengal. My area is in the Coastal Belt of Andhra Pradesh. In recent days the churches in rural and tribal areas collapsed due to cyclones and floods. For your great information all our churches we constructed with bamboos and thatched roofs. We are affected by the floods and all our churches were completely washed with flood water. All our church people lost their things in the flood. Now we are conducting Sunday services under the trees. By the grace of God we are praying at the feet of God to build our churches with concrete roofs. So we are burden fully praying in this manner. We are praying for your kindness which can encourage us in all our motives. We are request you please pray and encourage us to rebuild our churches as soon as possible.
Changing Youth From Drugs: We are working with the youth who were addicted to many bad habits like drinking, smoking and drugs. I was changed two of our youth members, now they are relieved from all the bad habits and they were working as volunteers and change many people from drugs. I am going to keep the youth retreat. I think to open a youth Bible ministry. We are praying for all the youth people. We would like to turn all the people by the youth unto our Lord Almighty and Saviour Jesus Christ. God was the creator who created the world and on the Word of God. I am working for youth and the people who are addicted to drugs. We were taking a special care and treatment to them. You may be blessed with all comforts to share with us.
Women Empowerment: We organised camps aimed at Women Empowerment in its targeted villages. We propagated the rights of women such as the right to education, right to economic resources including property rights, right to equal pay for equal work or work of equal value, freedom of association and right or organise, right to collective bargaining and the right to participate in government to the rural population. We not only highlighted these issues with women group meetings, but also with the men and other committee meetings to seek co-operation towards empowerment of women.
Orphans Home and School: We have an orphanage in which we are looking after 30 children. When we found them they were shelter-less and away from comfort and parental love. The Lord insisted me to carry up a Burden for the poor children and orphan's education, feeding and medical care. Thus I have started a school. School name is "Akshaa Public School". Our orphanage name is "Jesus Little Lights" Orphanage home. Both are in rented houses. We collect donations from our fellow Christians to meet their needs.
"Jesus Little Lights" Orphans
Now over 70 children are in the school amongst which 40 children are poor and 30 children are orphans. We are now feeding 30 orphan children in a rented house. As I am young and submitted my life before God. My wife is also working as a teacher in that school. In fact their condition is very pathetic. Many days in a month they are away from food and proper clothing. As the years were going the numbering of the children was decreasing day by day. The reason was that we cannot give the basic salary to the teachers. As we cannot give the salary to the teachers the children were away and now 30 children are there in our orphanage home. Please, help these 30 children. In this position we don't have the food. I and my wife and children were feeding ourselves half a day meals only. We were remaining with hunger. The school place and orphan home place which were running was the place not of our own we were paying the rent to that place. And now in this situation we cannot pay rent to that house. And the owner of that place was demanding me to pay the rent and two months were remaining to pay the rent of that house.
If we could not pay the rent within two months, the owner will throw away off. My wife, I and our children will become street boys. If it happened like this they can become like robbers, murderers and my only sorrow thing was that children should not become like that. I am unable to offer sufficient food to the orphans. Due to this problem some little children are crying in the middle of the night for not tolerating the hunger pain. It looks to be most miserable to see their present situation. Please remember them in your regular prayers. We request you to kindly pray for our children and extend your any kind of possible support.
I know we cannot do the ministry single handed; your co-operation and encouragement will enable us to do a lot of ministry. We will be able to operate new activities to attract people towards Jesus and make then commit their lives to Jesus. Please pray for us.
